Room Reservation & Refund Policy

Once a room type & property has been chosen by the tenant, Castle Student Accommodation (“Castle”) will reserve the room/property for a period of 48 hours to allow the tenant to review, sign the agreement and pay the required deposit (2 weeks rent). Upon completing these items, the deposit will go towards the rent payable under the terms of the agreement.

If a tenant otherwise decides not to proceed with the reservation, the upfront deposit will be forfeited.

Castle 2024 Cancellation Policy

Once an occupancy agreement (“the agreement”) has been signed, the tenant must comply with the terms and conditions of the agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, the tenant is required to pay the rental due for the full term of the agreement.  If the tenant wishes to cancel their agreement with Castle Student Accommodation (“Castle”) they will be required to find a replacement tenant to take over the agreement. This will incur a cancellation/administration fee of 1 week’s rent.

No Visa, No Entry Policy

The tenant may also cancel an agreement without charge as part of Castle’s “No Visa, No Entry, No Offer, No Pay” option if they are:

1. Unable to secure an Australian Visa
2. Declined entry to their intended course of study in Australia.

Note: The cancellation request must include supporting documents and be received 4 weeks prior to their occupancy term commencement date.
